Archive Head Back to the Studio: Work Begins on Fourteenth Album

With their North American debut still fresh and Glass Minds continuing to resonate across the globe, Archive have confirmed they are back in the studio working on new material.

Founding member Darius Keeler shared the news via the band's social channels, posting a photo from Metway Studios in Brighton — the same facility where much of Glass Minds was recorded. The caption was brief: "It begins again."

Details remain scarce, but sources close to the band suggest the sessions are exploratory at this stage, with Keeler and Danny Griffiths laying down early ideas alongside long-time producer Jérôme Devoise. Whether the full collective — including vocalists Dave Pen, Pollard Berrier, Lisa Mottram, and Jimmy Collins — has been called in is unclear.

The move comes sooner than many expected. Glass Minds, the band's thirteenth studio album, only dropped in February and has been widely regarded as one of their strongest releases in years. Its stripped-back, spacious approach marked a deliberate shift from the dense, politically charged Call to Arms & Angels, and the response from both fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive.
